During this consultation you will be holistically evaluated to determine the underlying cause of weight gain.  This will include physical examination, body composition analysis and investigation into your medical background, social life, childhood and previous weight loss attempts.

Following this our team will be able to design a bespoke 12-week medical weight loss plan to suit your needs. You will have an optional maintenance period at the end of the plan and if required we can extend your plan beyond the 12-weeks. Commitment from both sides will not only ensure long-term weight loss success, but you can improve serious weight-related medical conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, PCOS, arthritis, hypertension etc.

Currently in the UK, the there are three medicines, which  are licensed to be used for Weight Loss. The simplyweight clinics will only use medications that are licensed in the UK. Our team will help you use the medication, address any potential side effects and help you adapt your lifestyle to get the best results.

Weight loss medications work only if you make appropriate lifestyle changes simultaneously supported by a dedicated teamFor details about specific medications, please contact our team.

We will ensure that you have understood and signed a document to confirm that you understand the precautions, side effects and frequency and dosage of medication. You can join the 12-week weight loss medication plan after your initial consultation. There is also an option for you to continue on a maintenance plan for additional support.

Diabesity: Diabetes & Weight Loss

People who are overweight or obese are more prone to developing Type 2 diabetes. Those who have Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes with weight problems struggle to control their blood sugar levels. Research shows that people with diabetes find it more difficult to lose weight than those without diabetes.

Our team will help you:

  1. Prevent Type 2 diabetes
  2. Reduce complications related to Diabetes
  3. Achieve good blood glucose control

Weight Loss for Hypothyroidism

There are several causes for weight gain including hormonal causes. One of the most common endocrine problems known to be involved in weight gain is hypothyroidism or under-active thyroid.  People struggle to lose weight with hypothyroidism due to several reasons, some of which are mentioned below:

  • Tiredness
  • Lack of motivation
  • Slow metabolism
  • Low mood
  • Altered bowels

Weight Loss for PCOS

This is a Specialist Weight Loss Plan for young girls and women suffering from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is a medical condition affecting women’s ovaries. Worldwide, millions of women are affected by PCOS and often go about their lives with no knowledge of this fact. The primary cause of PCOS is a hormonal imbalance in the body, usually brought about by weight gain and hormone resistance.

Overcoming Emotional Eating

Experts estimate that 75% of overeating is due to emotions. People who are serial dieters always find that they do not achieve long-term weight loss. One of the underlying problems is emotional eating. Unless emotional eating is addressed, people will never succeed in weight management.

Recent research shows that there is a physiological and hormonal basis to emotional eating and disordered hunger patterns. Our team of experts will thoroughly assess and support you in overcoming emotional eating.

Weight Loss for Infertility

This is a Specialist Weight Loss Plan to help infertility caused by overweight or obesity.  Obesity leads to hormonal changes, which in turn reduces the chance of conception. Obesity leads to increased hormone resistance, which interfere with normal ovulation (egg production). PCOS is seen in women with obesity and increased hormone resistance.  Even if you are planning for assisted conception like IVF, obesity significantly reduces success rate.

Weight Loss for Menopause

This is a Specialist Weight Loss Plan designed to help women manage their weight during menopause. Menopause is a key milestone in any woman’s life and brings with it many physical, hormonal and psychological changes including headaches, hot flashes and mood swings. Perhaps one of the most sensitive issues is weight gain due to hormonal changes (mainly a drop in estrogen levels). In addition, weight gain also results from changes in mood, hunger pattern and metabolism.

Weight Loss for Fatty Liver

Fatty liver is the first stage of the condition NAFLD (Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease). NAFLD is not caused by alcohol, but drinking alcohol may make the condition worse.

NAFLD is a term used for a range of conditions caused by a build-up of fat in the liver, usually in people who are overweight or obese. Stages of NAFLD include:

  • Simple fatty liver
  • Non Alcoholic Steatohepaptitis (NASH)
  • Fibrosis
  • Cirrhosis

Weight Loss for Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, is the inability to initiate and sustain an erection. Erectile dysfunction is very common in older men but there are several reasons for erectile dysfunction including:

  • Overweight or obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Hormonal
  • Psychological
  • Injury
  • Prostate problems
  • Medication

Weight Re-gain following Bariatric Surgery

This is a Specialist Weight Loss Plan to deal with weight regain post-bariatric (weight loss) surgery.Weight loss surgery is only a tool for long-term weight loss. Most people benefit from it if they have good support following the surgery. However research shows weight regain after weight loss surgery is very common.

*I am so grateful for the support and encouragement I have received from both you and Raj in changing my whole life. It is a huge change and scary as well as being wonderful. I worry that you and Raj are not disappointed in my progress hence saying I worry about seeing you. Thank you is very easy to say, but it is heartfelt.
