I joined Simplyweight when I weighed the heaviest in a very long time and this was having a negative impact on all aspects of my life. I have tried various diets and exercise regimen but have found it difficult to adhere to in the long term quickly losing motivation. I have struggled with my weight for the last 20 years and this had become a way of life. A few life stressors in the last three years and I took to food for comfort and the weight kept creeping up. Therefore I had no choice but to act on it.
I am near to my 3 stone weight loss mark from the beginning of the programme over the last 4 and a half months which is incredible and I could never have believed this was achievable.
Simplyweight taught me the art of portion control, making healthy food choices without being too restrictive and without excluding groups of food completely from the diet. I have found simhappy very beneficial as it introduced me to the concept of visualisation and meditation practice. This has helped me calm my busy mind and bring more focus and mindfulness in my daily life. There is constant motivation and the team has been in touch even when I have been abroad to ensure accountability and progress.
The benefits have been far reaching and multi- faceted. I feel younger, energetic and more positive about life. I don’t get easily tired and I am more productive in my daily life. Being a professional with a young family I have still managed to stick to the plan on most days. It has been a lifestyle change which we have embraced as a family and try to spend more time outdoors building in more activity into our daily routine.
I am thankful from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Raj and Kala for their continued effort and the time taken to address the problems at its core, help me to change my mindset to achieve what I have so far. It’s a journey and it’s not over yet and I am yet to achieve my goal weight. The only downside to this programme that I can think of is the need to go shopping for new dress sizes but I am not complaining!
